Accepting New Clients!!

Do you feel like you’re alone, even when you are with friends and loved ones? Unable to express your feelings or pretending to have meaningful relationships? Struggling to convey important ideas at work or feeling misunderstood? The way we connect with others is one of the most important skills in life. This also extends to your relationship with yourself. Who are you? What do you want out of life? How do you talk to yourself? Communication, both expressing thoughts, feelings, and emotions and understanding what others are saying, is complicated and can lead to breakdowns in relationships or not understanding yourself. From making friends to falling in love, the way we express and accept information is important. We are here to first help you understand yourself and then to guide you as you develop and strengthen social skills to use in the real world. Whether it’s navigating new friendships, improving relationships, or being kinder to yourself, we are here to provide a different perspective, teach you new skills, and help you implement them. Our approach is unique and will range from identifying patterns in your life and relationships to heading out together and actually using these new skills with real-time feedback. I don’t want to just talk and send you out the door, I want to go with you and help you implement what you’ve learned with someone you trust by your side!

My approach to counseling is interdisciplinary, borrowing heavily from experiential and mindfulness practices, CBT skills training, narrative therapy, and strengths-based modalities. I approach therapy with an open mind and open heart, and believe laughter often truly is the best medicine. Therapy is a collaborative experience in which I place importance in meeting people where they are in a non-judgmental fashion. I am EMDR trained and trauma informed.

*Transgender and LGBQIA+ knowledgable, competent, and accepting. Poly, kink, fetish, consensual non-monogamy, and more are all welcome and safe here! I can provide help with gender confirmation surgery letters if needed and if you qualify.
